Odbor informačních technologií (OIT) In addition, it provides information security management (SŘBI) of MENDELU according to the law and the decree on cyber security. A position has been created to carry out the statutory duty manager of cyber security (manager KB) and The Committee KB (výbor kybernetické bezpečnosti) providing SŘBI at the highest level of MENDELU management.

For security purposes, OIT operates and manages the security infrastructure and assurance activities within defined competencies:

  •     User identity management in central systems
  •     Access to the data network, information systems, applications and databases
  •     Installation and operation of anti-malware systems on endpoint devices such as computers or servers
  •     Operation of anti-malware and anti-spam systems on data network perimeters
  •     Collection of MENDELU operational, security and contextual data:
      • on the behaviour of all ICT components

      • user behaviour in information systems
      • vulnerabilities of ICT components
      • threats to ICT components and information systems
  • Operation of monitoring and response systems to enable detection of and response to security anomalies, events and incidents
